Fuseta

Fuseta, the place where “the sun wakes up and falls asleep wrapped in tones of fire”, as the populars mention, and which can be seen in the postcard-worthy landscapes at the beginning and end of the day. This traditional fishing village is known for the friendliness and authenticity of its people. You will find numerous restaurants, with fresh fish with unique flavor, seafood and other delicacies, as well as vegetarian and vegan specialties.

Beach

Explore the nearby beaches, where you can find many wonders, from small fish to crabs, sea horses and even starfish!

 

During the Summer time, some day visitors come to Fuseta because of the beaches. It is possible to visit extensive fantastic white sandy beaches using the ferry or the taxi boat.

The ferry normally runs from April to the end of October, and takes about 10 minutes to reach the beach. It is also possible to reach the Ria area directly from the village, without the need of a boat!

Ria Formosa

Ria Formosa is a national reserve where you can find all kinds of fauna and flora. The best way to get to know the Ria is to explore it for yourself, watching the elegant flamingos flying over salt collection areas, as well as the countless birds that live in harmony in this paradise.
